A native of Tallassee, Alabama, Michael A. Griggs received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1991. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from Jones School of Law in December of 2000 and was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in September of the following year. He is married to Kipp Butler Griggs, and they have two children: Katherine and Drew.
He accepted a position with the Montgomery County District Court as a judicial law clerk from March of 2002 to April of 2003. He joined the firm of Chambless, Math & Carr, P.C. in April of 2003 as an associate concentrating in collections, landlord/tenant matters, consumer and commercial litigation, and bankruptcy law.
Mr. Griggs left Chambless, Math & Carr, P.C., and formed his own law firm in November of 2009 in his hometown of Tallassee, Alabama. In October of 2010, Mr. Griggs became a partner in the firm of Scarborough & Griggs, L.L.C., and after Mr. Griggs's law partner retired, the firm name was changed to The Griggs Law Firm, LLC.
